How Important Is Artistic Style in Children's Storytelling?

For those who've used illustration services for kids books, how much does the artist's style impact the overall feel of the story? Should I prioritize a specific look, or focus more on versatility and collaboration? I’d love advice from anyone who’s been through the process, what helped you find the right fit and what would you do differently next time?

When I was choosing an illustrator for a children’s book, I learned quickly that artistic style can shape the entire mood of a story. One artist made my characters look dreamy and soft, another gave them bold, playful energy. It reminded me of how I struggled balancing creative projects while juggling studies and even thought about using services like US Online Class Taker when I needed help with things like finding a hire expert for GED test. The right style really does bring a story to life.
